Lauren studied Musical Theatre at BOA until 2017.
Since leaving BOA, Lauren has built an exciting and varied career across performance and media. She worked at Disneyland Paris, Santa’s Lapland, toured holiday resorts in Cyprus and performed as a Redcoat at Butlins. During her training at the University of Chichester, where she studied Acting for Film and Musical Theatre, she also appeared as an extra in David Walliams’ Red Riding Hood: After Ever After (Sky Max).
After graduating, Lauren pivoted into the world of broadcasting. She launched her own podcast and began volunteering as a presenter at Black Country Radio, before going on to study Media Production at Birmingham City University in 2022. Alongside her studies, she worked as a freelance presenter and podcast producer, hosting red carpet events across Birmingham and collaborating with LadBible.
In 2024, Lauren won a national competition with the Student Radio Association, leading to her current role as a presenter on BBC Radio 1. She has since launched Radio 1 Anthems live on The Greg James Breakfast Show and now hosts regular shows on both Radio 1 and Radio 1 Anthems. Most recently, she presented Radio 1 Anthems at Bradford Live alongside Tinie Tempah, Pixie Lott, Charlie Hedges and Dean McCullough.
Amazing work, Lauren – we can’t wait to see what you do next!
