Careers & UCAS Leader (April 2024 onwards)

Time-term only (Mon to Fri) + 10 additional days, Permanent

We are keen to appoint a well-qualified and experienced Careers & UCAS Leader to oversee all CEIAG programmes at BOA.  More specifically, we are looking for an individual to be responsible for the coordination and smooth running of all work experience programmes for Year 10 students, as well as providing all relevant information, advice and guidance to our Post-16 students about higher education, apprenticeships, employment and the labour market.

The person we seek to appoint will have ideally achieved the Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development and will also have excellent communication skills in order to effectively network with a range of stakeholders, including BOA Alumni.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant experience of working in an educational context delivering careers advice and UCAS guidance
  • An excellent understanding of the GATSBY benchmarks for Good Career Guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Excellent personal organisation and time management skills
  • The ability to work to deadlines and to problem-solve
  • A genuine interest in working with young people to improve their life chances

Hourly Rate: £12.50* (which incorporates current minimum wage + travel expenses) 

(NB: The hourly rate will be reviewed in April 2024, should there be any changes to the adult minimum wage)
