BOA provides a range of unique learning experiences and opportunities which will prepare its students for both eduction and employment.
Our curriculum combines core subjects with a specialist pathway course and two additional option subjects. The academy meets the legal requirements of the National Curriculum and the option to follow the English Baccalaureate.
The BTEC is a specialist vocational qualification highly valued by industry and higher education. It encourages and stimulates students' acheivement through practical learning and forms of assessment based on applie knowledge and understanding of the relevant subject area. BTEC courses provide considerable opportunities for teamwork and in-depth study based upon specialist activities.
The level 2 BTEC is equivalent to four GCSEs. On entry students will choose a BTEC Level 2 Diploma.
